Why switching to SappChat makes sense

Any messenger can be used to transmit dangerous messages, attachments, and links; therefore, be cautious of links and attachments, even if they look to come from friends. However, there are many more serious concerns about using Telegram that cannot be avoided solely by using common sense.
Telegram’s architecture today supports over 500 million users via a web of connected endpoints and its own cloud backend. It offers an ostensibly infinite number of groups and channels, as well as a variety of other complex features, such as its own “bot platform.”

Check Point, which also issued this new Telegram warning, claims to have “tracked 130 cyber incidents in the last three months that used malware managed over Telegram by attackers… Even if Telegram isn’t installed or used, it allows hackers to send malicious commands and operations across the internet using the instant messaging service.”
Telegram messages do not spread the malware, which is why, as Check Point says, it doesn’t matter whether you have it or not. The threats are sent to users through simple email campaigns. However, after a user’s Windows PC opens a forged email attachment, the attached Telegram bot directs the links back to the attacker’s command and control server, effectively controlling the attack.
Telegram provides various advantages to attackers and their campaigns. The most important is that the platform is well-known and trustworthy, allowing it to bypass many defenses. Check Point claims that “Telegram is a genuine, easy-to-use, and stable service that is not prohibited by enterprise anti-virus engines or network management tools.”
Of course, there are other security dangers with Telegram, which affect the platform’s more than half-billion users. Users should constantly keep in mind that Telegram is not encrypted end-to-end by default.
